John 14:15 says,"If you love me, you will obey what I command."
In spite of all the trials and challenges, God has taught me what it means to trust Him in this everlasting relationship! Indeed, Christianity is NOT a religion, it is a genuine relationship with our LORD, Friend and Saviour. At times, Christians fall into the trap that God is merely our "friend and saviour", but not our LORD. We gotta learn to SUBMIT ourselves to and OBEY God's divine authority and His commandments. Only then can we truly experience His love and great plans for us. Luke 6:46 says, "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?"
Psalm 119;11 says,"I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you."
"You give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. You teach a man to fish, you feed him for a life time."
Similarly, every Christian must be equipped to fish for God's word (Spiritual food and ammunition) so that he may survive the spiritual war and stand firm during trials and temptations on his own.
Someone once asked me, "Aiyo, why are you such a strong believer of God ar?"
I replied instantly," Bible Study!"
In order for a tree to remain firm and steady and growing, its roots must grow deep into the ground and bind the soil together firmly. Similarly, a Christian must bear good fruit and allow its roots to be grounded in God's Word. Only then he will be able to stand strong, rejoice in trials and resist temptations. Someone once asked me,"How come so many Christians today backslide ar?"
My friend, how can a tree stand firm if it has no roots (or foundation)? Without God's Word, Christians will fall eventually as they are merely relying on their own wisdom and righteousness.

Fruit Of The Spirit-Self Control
Isaiah 40:22 says, "He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy and spreads them out like a tent to live in."A young Christian friend once asked me this,"Where is God?" I told him, "Well, God is everywhere. Omnipresent!" He replied, "I always thought that God was in heaven?" I responded, "He is. But remember heaven does not contain our Almighty God. Heaven is just God's tabernacle! He created the heaven, the universe and the Earth. He can easily put them on the palm of His hand or descend into and stay in them like Jesus did. All for His own splendor and glory."

Fruit of The Spirit-Gentleness
"Many people do not know and understand the gentleness of God the Father. Yes, when there is persistent sin, He is the God of wrath. But many Christians do not really know the gentleness of God. This gentleness is not the same as being a passive, over-indulgent or weak character. The gentleness of God means that when we are with him, we can feel very comfortable. If we really understand this deeply, we will go to God more often than we do. It will transform the way we deal with people."
