1 Peter-Day 60

Just finished Youth Evangelism Equipping (EE) today. Truly, I convicted that Evangelism is a lifestyle, not a programme. Jesus' Last Command, Our First Concern. Matthew 28:18-20 says, "Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Titus-Day 56

Before Christmas, I served in the Powerkidz Camp as a Team Leader with Pauline. I always enjoy the presence of children and inspiring them, especially Boys like Russell Saat who are full of energy. Someone once told me that, "It is easier to build a Boy than to repair a Man." Must concede that there is lot of truth in that and I am resolved to establish as many young lives as possible through the Boys' Brigade.
Followed by CHR Prom Night and was truly my honour to have Andrea as my prom date. Am certainly not the best with dining or formal night etiquette but God sure has been teaching me a ton about how to become a Christian gentlemen and to respect the beautiful princesses He has made for His glory.

1 Timothy-Day 54

Imagine a little Boy who enjoys playing soccer in the field. One day, he returns home all muddy. His mom chose not to let him into the house unless he cleans up. Think about it for a moment. Why did the mom do that? Logically, the mom loves the Boy, but she hates the dirt on him. Similarly, God loves us, but He hates the sin that entangles and enslaves us. God loves us so much that He sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins (like a mom would help a Boy to clean up)! On the third day, Jesus overcome death, rose again and proved to humanity that He had victory over sin. Jesus purchased a place in Heaven for us. Will you accept the gift?

Philippians-Day 50

Completed my first 10km race at the Army Half Marathon 2009 last month. Gazillions of people were there, as though forming a human stampede. Amazing experience that God has blessed me with. Aiming for 21 km next year.

Acts-Day 44

Someone once questioned, "How many gods do Christians exactly worship? Why does the Holy Trinity comprise of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit? The truth is Christians worship only one God, who has three different personalities. Kinda tough to imagine how can we worship one God and yet He is three persons at the same time. Allow me to use a simple illustration to explain the phenomenon to you. Kindly look at the green object below:
Is/Are there four leaves or one leaf? If you said one leaf, you are not exactly wrong but if you look carefully again, doesn't it look like it got four leaves with one single stem? And if you thought it was four at first, why not one? There is only one stem you know? Hmm, rather confusing and unexplainable, isn't it? Well, that is exactly the same with the Holy Trinity. We cannot full explain it, but God is a God in three persons.

Oh no! I have not been consistently training for my Half-Army Marathon. Gotta to stop procrastinating and start training.

Luke-Day 42

Philippians 2:12b says,"Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling."
Notice that the verse did not mention 'work for your salvation'
Instead, it states 'work out your salvation.'
Jesus did not die on the cross so that we need to buy a ticket into heaven by doing good works, following traditions and redundant rituals
However, he died so that we can have salvation and to demonstrate (or exercise) it with God's strength!

Mark-Day 41

Attended Youth Alpha today! Adeline shared about Jesus Christ and I never realized that Jesus was actually not a boring person at all. In fact, Jesus always go for parties, weddings and celebrations! Attended Jeanette's Birthday BBQ party on Sunday! Cannot wait to attend the Royal Banquet in Heaven one day.

Haggai-Day 37

Just caught a Christian film, Fireproof, directed by Alex Kendricks. Caleb Holt is a firefighter who holds the motto "Never leave your partner behind". However, his relationship with his wife Catherine is suffering and she wants a divorce. Caleb and Catherine each fault the other for the disintegration of their relationship. Through his father's advice, Caleb found God and ultimately, a way to win back the heart of his wife and saved their marriage. A movie that portrays the unbreakable truth, besides the romance, behind the close door of every marriage (the beauty, everyday mundanes and imperfections). 'Everyone thinks I'm a hero, except my wife.'

Micah-Day 33

Had dinner at my Auntie's house after PlayMAX today and Mom was playing mahjong (shake head).

Jonah-Day 32

Church retreat ended and thank God for the safe journey mercy back to Singapore. The theme this year was Experiencing God as Our Father. Though I missed two consecutive sermons, I can safely comment that the preacher was incredibly good at helping the congregation discover God's love and laugh simultaneously.

Anonymous quotes, "There is an old line about the difference between religion and Christianity that I have always loved: religion is spelt ‘do’; Christianity is spelt ‘done’. It may be bad English, but it’s great theology.”
